VENTUM ACRYLIC PRIMER BETONOKONTAKT 003 (BETONOKONTAKT 003)

Designed for pre-treatment under gypsum plaster of dense, smooth, weakly and not absorbing substrates, for example, concrete, cement plasters. Also, if necessary, cladding of gypsum board KNAUF-sheets and surface of polystyrene plates can be processed. Used for interior use. The application process includes the following stages of work.

PREPARATION OF MORTAR:

Primer application. Primer consumption is approximately 0,350 kg/m². It is not allowed to apply a primer on a frozen base. Treatment should be carried out at the temperature not lower than + 5°C. Indicators of the value of consumption, kg/m2 ~ 0.350. Shelf life is 12 months.

SPECIFICATIONS:

This building material belongs to the class of primers - it turns a smooth surface into a rough one. This property is caused by presence of quartz sand in the primer made on the basis of acrylic and strong adhesives. The characteristics of this material are quite high, it has:

1. High drying speed. After a couple of hours, you can begin further work.

2. Resistant to moisture. Concrete bonding agentis a kind of a waterproofing material - when dried, it forms a waterproof film. When using concrete bonding agentunder floor cement screed, then waterproofing is no longer necessary.

3. Long service life. According to the manufacturer, it is able to perform its functions for 80 years. These characteristics of the concrete bonding agentare enough to be fully appreciated by construction specialists.

RANGE OF APPLICATION:

The direct purpose of concrete bonding agent primer is to increase adhesion of surfaces with poor moisture absorption. Monolithic concrete does not draw in moisture well and for this reason, almost all building mixtures stick to it poorly. If we are talking about plastering a concrete ceiling, then it’s difficult to think of anything better for its preparation. Previously, to prevent premature peeling of the plaster, contractors used the so-called bandage - a fabric mesh was glued onto the concrete using PVAC, on top of which the plaster was made. Applying a bandage is a complex and inconvenient process, this cannot be said about the primer concrete contact. The main point is the same, only it is applied easier and faster, and the effect of it is more reliable and durable. This floating is used not only indoors - it can also be used for outdoor work. For example, it is used for covering the walls of a building before applying facade decorative plasters - without it, street decoration will not last long. It is remarkable that concrete bonding agent with equal success copes with the duties assigned to it on virtually any surface. It can be applied both to concrete, and to metal, and even to wood - in all the cases, building mixtures applied to such surfaces by means of concrete bonding agent hold for a long time and reliably.

PRIMING:

Deep penetration priming process using concrete bonding agent is quite simple and does not require any special tools. First, the surface to be treated must be cleaned of exfoliated elements, dust and dirt. It would be desirable to apply the walls by ordinary primer before applying this type of primer - it will completely remove dust and bind the surface layer of the wall or ceiling. The surface should dry well - a concrete bonding agent will not stick to the wet wall. Then everything is simple - a brush, roller or even a spatula is taken, it is with their help that a concrete bonding agent is applied to the surface to be treated. A primer - concrete bonding agent is applied to the wall with an even, thin layer - in this regard, it is better to give preference to such an instrument as a wide brush or finishing brush. After application a concrete bonding agent is allowed to dry. After an hour, it may seem that it is already dry, and a solid, dry surface is already fully ready for further work. But this is an illusion. If you put a metal spatula over such a surface, a concrete bonding agent can be easily peeled off. And this should not be when it is completely dry - a concrete bonding agent dries for at least a couple of hours. It all depends on the temperature and humidity. One way or another, the wall covered with such a primer in the evening, by morning will be completely ready for further work. It is important to understand that it is not worthwhile to hold back on the subsequent surface finishing with plaster or putty. The longer you take a break, the more chances dust that occurs on the surface - and this worsens the adhesion. If after application of a concrete bonding agent more than two days has passed, then you will have to additionally open the surface with an ordinary primer of deep penetration. The consumption of this material per 1 m² is not so high. And this is an important factor at the high cost of this building material. As a rule, approximately 200-300 g of mixture is consumed per square meter of surface. In general, whatever one may say, a primer concrete bonding agent is a useful and necessary thing in the field of repair and construction. Many have already been able to evaluate its properties - now it's up to you. Having tried this material once to increase adhesion, it is rather difficult to refuse its subsequent use.
